For accessible basic facts and tips related to COVID-19, please read this article on frequently asked questions about the Coronavirus, as well as this follow-up article, both written by Dr. Taison Bell, a local physician and expert in Infectious Diseases.
The CDC’s website also provides very helpful information and is updated regularly.
*We are called to be a people of prayer. A people not driven by fear, but faith and wisdom. I encourage you to exercise wisdom in your daily affairs and to pray for all those directly and indirectly affected by COVID-19, as well as those gripped by fear due to the outbreak. Stay full of faith, stay in the Scriptures, and let’s trust God together for a speedy and safe resolution to this outbreak and its effects.
Philippians 4:6-7: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Paul Harris, Pastor, Victory Church of Charlottesville
Victory Church of Charlottesville exists to see people reconciled to God and each other.
We believe the Bible to be the
inspired, reliable, authoritative Word of God.
We believe there is one eternal, almighty,
and perfect God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the bodily resurrection
of Jesus Christ, and all the benefits
therein being accessible to him/her who
places his/her trust in Christ alone
We believe in the deity of our
Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth,
in His sinless life, in His miracles,
in His atoning death through His shed blood,
in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension
to the right hand of the Father and in
His personal return in power and glory.
Holding to the truth of God’s revealed Word,
we understand by both faith and experience
that God’s Spirit is active and present in the
world today. We believe that for the salvation
of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the
Holy Spirit is essential. We believe
in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit,
by whose indwelling the Christian is
enabled to live a godly life.
